In the wake of the Eriksen case, Oscar Jones was hoping to raise money to buy just one for his soccer team, but the success of his initiative will make it possible to buy at least five

A very noble gesture that could save lives, which takes on a fundamental value if you think that everything was organized by a child from 7 years.

E’ was so struck by Christian Eriksen's illness during the Finland-Denmark match at Euro2021 that he decided to lend a hand, in his way: and so Oscar Jones, of the county of Cheshire, in the UK, raised more than £5,000 to buy defibrillators for his community.

Initially, the little one hoped to raise money to buy just one for his soccer team, but then, given the success of its initiative on the GoFoundMe platform, he plans to buy at least five, which he will donate to his municipality.

The 12 June the Danish soccer star suffered a cardiac arrest and with the help of a defibrillator the medical team managed to save his life.

An episode that deeply shook Oscar who for this reason decided to get busy.

“We had a conversation about what happened to Eriksen – explains his father Ben to the local press – The answer of Oscar was “what if it happened to someone on our soccer team?” A truly awful thing to think about. But it is something we can prevent. So he decided to raise money for a defibrillator to give to his team”.
